Oracle Weblogic and Oracle Forms now supported on Autonomous Database

By | December 9, 2020

While Oracle Databases rock, having the right skill-set to manage them might be a bigger struggle. The Oracle Autonomous Database is for that reason becoming more and more popular, as this database is fully managed and optimized by Oracle’s AI system.

Often to use a type is Database is dictated by the application. Does the application support that database. As Autonomous Database is relatively new, not all Apps support it yet.

This week I was pleasantly surprised to see that Oracle’s own apps are start to support the Autonomous Database!

Autonomous Database Support with Oracle Forms

Oracle Forms 12.2.1.4 is certified to connect to an Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP-D and ATP-S) database for both application data and/or the required Fusion Middleware Infrastructure Repository.
